Healing

Why?

Matthew reports that Jesus “went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every infirmity among the people” (Matthew 4:23).  He sent his followers out in his Name to do the same thing.  We believe that all healing ultimately comes from God and we believe the church is commissioned and empowered to pray for God’s healing upon his people.

What?

At every Sunday morning service, there are teams of people, trained as intercessors, stationed in the back of the church to pray for anyone who would like to receive prayer, especially for healing

Every Wednesday morning, at 10:00 a.m., a special eucharist is offered with a special time of intercessory prayer and anointing for those who remain at the rail after receiving communion.

A group of parishioners meet at different times of the year to continue the study of the ministry of healing.  Many have been trained to pray for the sick or those in spiritual need.  In particular, this group studies possible roots of illness with the desire to obtain God’s healing of body, soul and spirit.
